"Creative Champions Club"

Creative Champions Competition at Chennai

CSC-Softview an ISO 9001-2000 certified Institution is a leader in the field of Graphics, Animation and Multimedia has a large network with 65 centers in Tamilnadu. They have been conducting an event in Chennai named “Graphics Award Competition” for the past 6 years to motivate the students by making them create small animations using moral themes. Last year Mr. S.Ve. Shekar and Film Director Mr. Perarasu gave away the Prizes to the winners. Some of the students have got placement by this event. The event would be conducted for the entire CSC-Softview Multimedia centers in Tamilnadu.

This year CSC-Softview has announced a Digital Drawing Competition on 18th of October (18-10-2008 – Saturday) at Sir Thiyagraya Kalai Arangam A/C Hall T.Nagar Chennai. The Concept of the Digital Drawing competition is not to draw any picture in paper or board but to design it digitally using CorelDraw or Photoshop software on the Topics given by CSC-Softview. This Creative Champions Competition is to be conducted Region-wise around Tamilnadu. The winners and the awardees will be called for such an event across nationwide.


The event commenced at 10.00 a.m. as scheduled with a welcome speech by Mr. M. Anto Peter C.E.O. and explained about the achievement of the event. There were 165 participants for the event. After the Welcome speech started the entertainment program by ROBO Shankar & Arvind (Kalaignar T.V.) with the mimicry and a song fusion. Soon after this a free workshop on Visual effects was conducted by Mr. Peter.V. Paul (VFX specialist) who has done visual effects for many films spoke about the concepts of visual effects with a demo of some of his special effects from films like Shivaji (Tamil) and Krish(Hindi), its market and the job opportunities. Then in the Post lunch session a work shop on 3D animation and video effects was conducted by Mr. D. Soundara pandian who has done a lot of special effects for teleserials such as My dear Bootham, Kalasam, Sindbad etc and also for films like Aalavanthan and Agharam. At the end of this session once again the entertainment session was performed with a vocal song performance by Ms. Priyadharshini and a Mimicry program by Mr. Dindugal Saravanan. After this the prize were awarded to the candidates who won the Creative champions. The first prize was awarded to Mr.Dhavaneswaran of Avadi. The second prize was awarded to Mr. V.Kothandaraman, Mylapore and Mr. M.Pavithran Tambaram. The Third prize was awarded to Mr. R. Rishabkumar Redhills and Mr. A. Priestly Samuel Porur and Ms. M.Geetha Vadapalani. The Prizes were awarded by Dr. M. AnandaKrishnan (Former Vice-chancellor, Anna University), and Mr. Lena Tamilvaanan. Dr. M. AnandaKrishnan in his speech insisted that, whether it may be arts or professional degree an additional computer certification is needed for which the Multimedia field is chosen according to the current trend as this multimedia market is in the boom.   Mr. T. Iyemperumal Director of CSC Computer Education (p) ltd gave the vote of thanks and with his speech the function concluded.
